Post workout supplements

Like the name says, post workout supplements are designed to be taken after a workout session.  Post workout Supplements help with recovery, reducing muscle pain, augment growth hormone and testosterone levels, refueling the muscle with the needed nutrients for growth. When engaging in weight lifting or any strenuous physical activities our body breaks down the muscle fibers.  Therefore, they must be repaired in order for them to grow larger and stronger.

Post workout supplements are loaded with carbohydrates, creatine and protein. So, the best post workout supplements would be made of carbohydrates, protein, minerals, vitamins, BCAAs and amino acids.

Carbohydrates: give the body the glycogen supplies in the muscle tissue

Protein: is needed to repair and helps the muscle to grow.

Creatine: is needed for mass gain muscle, and size. When we workout our body doesn’t get enough to build up muscle and strength, it is recommended to take 3-5 grams of creatine per day.

BCAA’s (amino acids) are made up of those three essential aminos leucine, isoleucine and valine.

BCAA’s catapult, your body from a catabolic state to an anabolic state, which prevent muscle lost and optimize muscle tissue repair. It is recommended to take 5-10 grams per day after.

 Post workout supplements are to be taken within 30 minutes after working out to prevent that catabolic window

 

It is important to use post workout supplement in conjunction with pre workout supplement to maximize muscle growth to burn fat and to gain  lean muscles mass.
